"What great thing would you attempt if you knew you could not fail?" – Robert Schuller
If you could change anything in your life, what would it be?
The first question you need to ask is, "What do you want out of your life?"
If you faced no limitations, what would your life look like? What would your dream occupation be? What would you do with your free time? How would you change your relationships? In what areas would you like to get "unstuck"? When you look back on your life, what would you like to see?
Asking powerful questions and uncovering YOUR answers for your life are a central part of coaching. For real, lasting change to occur, the answers must come from you. They must line up with your values and what is important to you. Sometimes, the change needed isn't about your circumstances. In some cases, what is needed is a perspective shift that will radically alter the outcomes of your life experiences and relationships.
The bottom line is that life coaching is about changing your life. It's about clarity, fresh perspectives, choices, plans of action and accountability—all leading to the kind of life that you truly desire.
